Pitney Bowes Business Insight is currently seeking a Sales Account Executive for the Federal Government - Intelligence Community. The right candidate will be an integral part of the Public Sector Sales team, supporting our continued growth. Ideal candidates should be based out of the Washington DC metropolitan area.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Be responsible for the entire sales process from Prospecting to Close
  • Lead generation/outbound calling and warm lead follow up.
  • Understand Intel customers’ needs and requirements
  • Differentiate our value in a competitive environment
  • Develop and maintain detailed and updated opportunity matrixes for each target account to insure that the appropriate sales support resources can be available and to assist in the preparation of accurate and timely sales forecasts.
  • Establish long-term relationship with each prospect and customer so as to maximize future revenue opportunities.
  • Close sales and achieve sales quotas
  • Understand market definition strategy

Qualifications

Required Education/Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business (or technical field of study) or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5-7 years direct software sales experience selling ERP, CRM, Document Management, Financial Applications or General Application Software (ex. Siebel, PeopleSoft, Epiphany, SAP, Oracle, Computer Associates etc.)
  • A minimum of 5 years of solution selling to Intelligence Government with average deals in excess of $200,000 including significant license and services components
  • Proven track record in sales, ability to meet and exceed individual sales targets on a consistent basis.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Met quota 2 out of last 3 years
Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com CRM application
  • Recent experience working Government Intelligence agencies is desired
  • Ability to craft business solutions to complex business problems
  • Proven ability to establish strong relationships with both users and technical buyers
  • Security Clearances preferred.
  • Knowledge of Group 1 Software and/or MapInfo products a plus
  • Selling through System Integrators and business partner experience
